ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

  Dennis Dean Curlett is a screenwriter originally form the mean streets of Chichester, Pennsylvania. Delco to those who know. Home of the Wawa! After graduating from The University of Pittsburgh, Dennis moved out to Hollywood and fell in love with long form improvisational comedy and the UCB Theater where he still performs improv and sketch with his alt-comedy super team Funk Shuffle! 

He optioned his high concept romantic comedy Just.One.Kiss to Netflix in 2019 in a bidding war with Dylan Clark Productions attached to produce. In 2021 he developed an original pitch for the classic boardgame Scrabble with Calvry Media and David Gordon Green producing, and most recently he adapted The Venue: A Wedding Novel for Six Foot Turkey Productions and Tea Shop Films.

On the indie side Dennis wrote, directed and produced his first feature film, the micro-budget sci-fi dramedy Paradox Lost, which after a successful festival run, was picked up for distribution by Gravitas Ventures for worldwide release. You can watch it on Amazon Prime for free right now!
